Actually, I *did* level matching with a Radio Shack sound meter. Of note, I am using the DAC-1 variable volume, such that my SB is usually set at 35-40 volume (minimizing bit loss). Guess there is so little noise with this setup, even with the RCA's, that it doesn't make a difference.
