This is interesting, as using the same DAC for x1 CD playback as in the
Quad 99 CD-P and comparing it with the same material extracted with
EAC(Exact Audio Copy) and decoded from FLAC with the SB into a coax
input, I get the feeling that you get more soundstage "depth" via the
SB , possibly some jitter mechanism here ?. The Mk2 transport which is
available for the Quad is said to improve matters (available as
retro-fit),personally I only bought the thing to try out the DAC, also
the convenience of IR source selection and level
