As I recall, the court case came down to Consumer Reports having said
that the "sound wandered around the room", while Bose claimed they
should have said the "sound wandered along the wall". The case was
decided in Bose's favor.

I don't remember anything about testing in anecholic chambers - the
test Consumer Reports got in trouble for was a sighted listening test
in a room.

I have all the Consumer Reports back to 1977, so I can look it up if
anyone is interested.
