The problem with any "active speaker" is that you sound is now only as good as the speaker's amplifier. It doesn't matter how good your receiver or any other component in your system is ... sound degradation can/will occur when the signal is modulated to RF (or IR in some cases), and then re-converted to an audio signal in whatever electronics the speakers have. Do they own thier home?
