Thanks all... I too doubt that using the DV29 as a transport would improve the sound quality over the transporter directly. I still am wondering about transporter passing the digital through as I like options. I use a Sherbourn 7/2100 along with Sonus Faber speakers for my home theatre and I have a Bryston 2 channel (3B SST I think) along with Totem Model 1 Signatures on the way for my Hifi system. In all likelyhood I will have the transporter feeding the amp direct for the hifi kit and the squeezebox 3 that came with transporter in my home theater setup. Make sense to you all?? Cheers, Mike
