Dear all, my first post to this board - I am somewhat a newbie concerning Audio questions. So please excuse any "stupid" questions.
I've bought myself a Transporter (because the technical data seemed ok, I liked the looks and the free Squeezebox was nice as well, of course) and am now looking for a good amplifier to add to it. (I dumped my old system when I moved from Europe to Japan as it wouldn't have worked here due to different voltage.) My question - can your recommend me an amplifier for use with the Transporter? For me, the following would be important: - good quality (i.e., should sound great) - good looks (i.e., it should go well together with my silver Transporter and be about the same width) >From reading the threads in this board, I understand that I won't need a pre-amplifier and that I should be looking for a system which is able to connect to the balanced analogue connectors - is that correct? Sorry again for these stupid questions. I would be very interested in your suggestions/experiences.
