How is your setup? Your description of the SB3 does not fit with my experiences. I have tried a stock SB3 with a home made PSU through an Electrocompaniet DAC and that sounded very musical. In my own kit it compares favourable to a Yamaha CDX-1060 and a Rotel RDV-1050.
