I agree, up to a point, but the problem is complicated: - Off-topic things can be funny or provide a different perspective - I don't think people normally deliberately troll, but sometimes they do take something the wrong way, and get a bit excited. Some people are more liable to do this than others. - I respect the right of people to make an idiot of themselves. Perhaps a slashdot-style scoring system rather than active moderation?
