There are moderators around, they just don't advertise themselves (no "Moderator" tag for example). The current policy is to allow the conversation to go however it does and basically not intervene.
The specific problems you mention are restricted to the audiophile forum as far as I can tell, and I think are part and parcel of such a discussion. I'm certainly against restricting people's abilities to speak their minds, and I don't think that whoever happens to start a thread has any right to special protection from being challenged. But, yes, I do think the conversation often gets a little out of hand. But I see this equally from all sides of every debate, sometimes the utter childishness being exhibited by otherwise intelligent people is quite breathtaking! I know I'd spend more time in this forum if I didn't think I'd be ridiculed for expressing my opinion. -- radish ------------------------------------------------------------------------ radish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=77 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29967 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
