Like I said in the "personal introductions" thread, room correction is
one area I'm looking into. You guys told me to!
My room is fairly big (23.5 ft long, 17.9 ft wide, 8.1 ft high) with
tile floors. Hard walls, not too much furniture. So acoustically it
sucks. This past weekend I played around a bit with speaker placement
and such, and that improves the sound a lot. Of course, I can't set up
the room the ideal way anyway, since it's our living room! But I do
think some room correction/treatment products would make a difference.
Now here's the question... Say I wanted to spend $500 for starters,
where should I take my money? Biggest bang for the buck stuff, make my
wife go "wow it really helps!" so I can buy more...

What would be the best option?
