I also use Burrrn to burn directly from Flac files to CD.  It's an
awesome program, but all it really does is save you the trouble of
transcoding from Flac to WAV before burning the CD.  While that's a
considerable labor savings, the CDs burned should turn out just the
same as using another program.

I've read that using the lowest possible burning speed isn't
necessarily optimal, depending on the CD writer.  Try a faster speed
and see if the CD-Rs are any more reliable.  Also, try a different
brand of CD-R blank.
