Hello,
Nero is a very good program but i only use it for burning. Try to
convert to Wav with another program (Flac frontend-freeware)and then
burn with Nero. If the problem occurs with another cd-r, maybe it's the
burner whose laser is becoming weak and the Rotel needs perfectly burned
cds. I had this problem a month ago and changed my DVD burner (one year
and a half old) and now my cdrs are readable again. My experiences with
burners began 10 years ago and i observed that nearly all the problems
come from the burner. Some are very good but they can go bad anytime.
In 97 two yamahas had problems burning some cds and were changed, the
third one is still working perfectly. Now i'm with my third DVD burner.
Evertime the advice was to update drivers, change program, try another
brand of blanks, but in the end the solution was to change the burner.
And i got the impression that nowadays, at the price, quality controls
are not very serious.
Hope it will help.
Jean
