I use SB3 analog on a kit which cost me about $3000, and I am not in a
rush to do anything at the moment. I would recommend that you buy an
amp, speakers and decent cables for the money. If possible, get a
linear PSU for the SB3 as well. You can always get a DAC at a later
stage.
