At $5k the AV8 is probably *not* like other pre/pro receivers. DSP is the reason I said line level output rather than LFE output, as you could just send full range signals to the sub. This must be possible with that preamp processor (it's not a receiver at all), though I will admit the manual is pretty vague about the direct analog + pre out mode. As a last resort you could probably set zone two to follow zone one and send zone two to the sub.
