The 80s are worth the extra dough, IMO. They have better bass and are more comfortable. The comfort factor is relevant, since it's hard to enjoy the music when your ears are aching. As far as the leakage, it's not a big deal. If you are 5 feet away from someone and/or there's other sound in the room, they won't hear the 'phones.
