Yes, out house leakage is considered to be irritating by me too.

I recently bought a set of Sennheiser HD280Pros:

and I quite like them.  The closed, circumaural design results in a
nice tight seal, and because the pads sit around the ears instead of on
them, they have a higher comfort factor.  (I wear glasses, and I find
that headphones that sit on the ears pinch them between the pads and
the glasses, which becomes uncomfortable in extended listening
sessions.)
