Hi have a CIAudio VDA1/VAC1 DAC & it's superb. I'd say it even has something of an "analogue" sound about it, in a good way. Totally transformed my system, much more than adding a mid-range (Naim) amplifier did. I think CIAudio are making a VDA2 now, which is a lot more expensive, but you may still be able to get the #1.
