I'm not Phil, but I was at one of the audio club meetings where he heard the Citypulse and I was impressed enough to buy one. My squeezebox is pretty heavily modified as documented in a thread elsewhere, and the analog output sounds considerably better than the stock SB3. The Citypulse is a significant step better than my modified SB3, so I will offer the suggestion that it is an even bigger improvement over a stock SB3.
