I don't think he wrote that; it looks like a quote from the thread he linked to.
GaryB, sorry, but that's the nature of the internet, or normal conversations for that matter - they go "off topic", whatever that means. Especially when the initial subject is both controversial and rather silly, as is the case here. There is simply no way to discuss audio quality seriously without blind testing coming up. Not in every thread, but in a large fraction at least. Asking that it never be mentioned is like asking that we never mention CD players or turntables - afterall this is a forum for streaming music players. It's just a senseless idea - BT is the only way to conduct reliable comparisons and tests using your ears. That's an obvious fact, there isn't any debate about it. It doesn't mean every time you mention hearing something it has to have been done blind, but it does mean that it's likely to come up once the discussion gets even a little bit more in-depth than just "I thought this sounded good." If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to read this forum. -- opaqueice ------------------------------------------------------------------------ opaqueice's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4234 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32352 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
