GaryB, sorry, but that's the nature of the internet, or normal
conversations for that matter - they go "off topic", whatever that
means.  Especially when the initial subject is both controversial and
rather silly, as is the case here.

There is simply no way to discuss audio quality seriously without blind
testing coming up.  Not in every thread, but in a large fraction at
least.  Asking that it never be mentioned is like asking that we never
mention CD players or turntables - afterall this is a forum for
streaming music players.  It's just a senseless idea - BT is the only
way to conduct reliable comparisons and tests using your ears.  That's
an obvious fact, there isn't any debate about it.  It doesn't mean
every time you mention hearing something it has to have been done 
blind, but it does mean that it's likely to come up once the discussion
gets even a little bit more in-depth than just "I thought this sounded
good."

If you don't like it, no one's forcing you to read this forum.
