I have an HP XW4300 (but an 8000 or 8200 would be event better). I have "added" the RAID5 functionality to WindowsXP (just a few lines to change in a certain file), bought 4 SATA drives, and I am in business. I also have 1 extra network card, so I have 2 network connections. You can find these kind of systems for much less then the dedicated NAS and they are much more flexible. In addition you can rip directly on the NAS of course.
