I still don't understand the original question. If the issue is automating the ripping process to the maximum extent, the quality of the hardware isn't much of an issue. EAC will squeeze blood from a stone.
If you want to rip as many discs as you can as fast as you can, use two or three PCs set up with two CDROM drives each. You'll have trouble keeping up with the freedb data corrections. If you want to make the ripping, tagging, etc. process as automatic as possible, use EAC to rip a hundred or so CDs, then convert to .flac and tag them using flac which works in batch mode. I have a detailed procedure for automatic tagging using flac on my web page here: http://mark.rehorst.com/Audio_System/index.htm TD -- tyler_durden ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tyler_durden's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2701 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32725 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
