Here we go with the caps again.... WHY do you think that? Is it because
of a decades-old audiophile rule of thumb, or do you know something
about how to wire up a DAC that I don't? I was well aware of the stigma
when I chose that design (which was also recommended by the DAC vendor)
and I also tried several other configurations - there are more
complicated ways you could do it, and there are also other types of
caps you could use. Those specific ones performed the best, and since
sound quality was my only objective, I used them. Very often, getting
the best performance means breaking some outdated audiophile rules.
There is nothing wrong with the design, and I have yet to find a better
one - but I am open to suggestions if you can articulate WHY some other
design should sound better, and support your ideas with any sort of
measured results or controlled listening test.

No offense taken, but I am a little exhausted with these sort of
debates - they're about as pointless as arguing creationism vs
evolution. One is science, and one is "because I say so". I would
really like to elucidate this stuff if we can, but it doesn't seem that
we all share that goal.
