I'm not sure but that's why I bought wired, even having a wireless network. I would love to have an approximation in difference of processor load. As you noted perhaps the processing of the format itself pegs the processor and induces harmful sidebands in the jitter that john atkinson would find peculiar, compared to most cd players that don't use such processing, but yet not able to be described in cause/effect terms without lots of research. Such a phenomenon may even, gasp, slip through A/B testing. My C2duo is spitting some high frequency nasties in my right ear as I type this, and their audibility and the nature of the sound itself is constantly changing (from what I can tell). If I knew the processor board could be moved to a more isolated place (in a larger divided box), to live with the display and their respective power supplies, I wouldn't worry about it. So that is my goal. John mentioned a difference in layout for the Transporter, so it would be interesting to know what effect changes in this area might have made. -- Skunk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Skunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2685 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32999 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
