It would be technically impossible, because the Transporter has high quality regulators _inside_ the box, close to the circuit they're powering. A cheap replacement linear that isn't advertised as huge improvement wouldn't be a bad idea though, for those having interference trouble. High end power packs are the equavilent of having one high quality regulator outside the box, which has to go through a step up supply before reaching the internal regulators... the ones that actually do the powering of the audio circuit.
