This will vary depending on the speed of the host machine. Before upgrading my box with new mobo, cpu and ram, FLAC took longer to run and EAC+FLAC took about 7 or 8 minutes per CD. After the upgrade, the FLAC encoding almost always finishes before the following track is ripped - it's no longer the bottleneck. It now takes about 4 to 5 minutes to rip and average CD.
