Hi JLM,
Amazing to see somebody post jitter measurements done by themselves. I
expect to see the same improvement with SB3 vs SB3 with Lavry. The
improvement in jitter with SB3 vs SB3 with Bolder digital mods + modded
Elpac is very obvious to me. Many familiar songs sound very different.
Good recordings which sounded slightly harsh now reveal much better
'recoding venue (or added :-)) ambience'. I think this is what the
original poster is experiencing with his unmodded SB3 - which I would
characteristise as 'soft' sounding, like an unfocussed camera image
(relatively).

Re: USB - there is some talk on sync vs async or something like that.
Even though I am CS/EE person after coding/work most of the day, I
can't think that much, but I could tell something not definitive is
going on there. If after getting a modded USB converter you have do
some tweaks to your computer etc..then I dont trust that approach. With
the SB it seems straightfoward - keep the buffer filled and clock it out
with an oscillator (I think it is fixed freq).

BTW, can you change out the clock in my SB3, please ? :-)
