Interesting,,possibly the Mac Mini's jitter is better than a stock SB3's. But the SB3 can be improved with better power supply and mods. Not sure this is possible with the Mac Mini. Maybe, if you want to keep things stock and dedicate a Mac Mini for multi-media functions this is the way to do. I thought about this before buying the SB3, but another computer is more system admin work for me. Also, I would need a display for the Mac Mini etc. Now for the SB3+mods costing $650 I have a state-of-the-art transport. Maybe upgrading the power supply further (from the modded Elpac) will probably squeeze some jitter out of the system.
