Overall I've heard that the RS SPL meter isn't too bad in this function, but it gets inaccurate in bass - which is unfortunately the area that usually needs the most correction. The rule of thumb was to add 3 dB if you're measuring bass. But I don't know the exact frequency range this inaccuracy covers. Also I would presume it's not a flat 3 dB correction. I remember finding a correction file for the RS meter, but there was considerable disagreement regarding the correction file's validity where I found it. -- Mark Lanctot ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29489 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
