2 suggestions: Get some concrete stands from a garden supply place. I've got a pair I used for several years that were extremely heavy, totally inert, and actually didn't look too bad. Then couple the speakers to the stands with museum putty or blu-tac. Of course, if he manages to pull these over, he could be seriously injured.
The safer suggestion (and it might be the best-sounding solution, too) would be to hang the speakers from the ceiling. Several ways of doing this, even with a 36-lb speaker. One of the best-sounding systems I've had used 4 fairly heavy bookshelf speakers hung from the ceiling. -- Pale Blue Ego ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pale Blue Ego's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=110 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35325 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
