I was one of the first to experiment with a linear supply based on the Lambda unit from RS Components. I ran my SB3 through a £6,000 Audio Synthesis DAX Discrete DAC and the difference in SQ between the linear and the wall wart was pretty wide. As I now have a Transporter feeding the DAX the linear PSU I built is up for sale (240v 50Hz).
