Interesting comments Gary. I bought a Transporter a couple of months ago - my first venture in to network music players. I was delighted with it during the first couple of weeks - ease of use, internet radio etc. However, I was finding that after a song or two, I was just losing interest in the music.
When compared to my other sources (Marantz SA-11S1, Linn LP12), the Transporter falls quite a way short IMO. Although detail and bass are very good with the Transporter, it just lacks the musicality required for long term listening. As a result, I have ordered a SB+ as it seems to have many happy users. I will be keeping my Transporter for use in a second system. I am aware of Coherent Systems - I've been to visit Tony and I use his cables in my system.
