Ray The Transporter is capable of matching the SB+, but at a price! If you don't need the DAC capability of the Transporter then the SB+ is an excellent choice. Have you got one of Tony's FooFoo boxes? If not see if he'll let you borrow one to try with the SB+, I have one with extra filtration and customised sockets, used in-line with a James Audio balanced power conditioner, the combo really does a good job of quietening the background and reducing digital glare.
