Of course it makes sense - what I meant is that in my situation is doesn't make sense to get an expensive soundcard when I can get SB for the same price or less. Of course, another option is to get the simplest possible card with SPDIF out and weird jitter, and connect it to some jitter-killer such as Benchmark via optical (to avoid ground loops) - but I don't like Benchmark and I didn't plan to spend $1K for secondary system DAC.
