Ok I didn't do it exactly the way you said but the test is the same I think. I had it working i.e SS7.01 FW31 (24/08/07) I went back to SS6.5.4 FW31 (never actually tried this one before). Same problem as before. Note: the TP did not require a firmware update during the change (ie didn't ask for brightness button to be held). I then installed SS7.0 (latest nightly build 28/08/07) FW31 and it worked again. Again as I installed SS7.0 it DID NOT ask for a firmware upgrade to so change at the TP end. This time I installed 7.01 on the same PC as I had 6.5.3 before and had the problems. So the only thing changed was Slimserver version and problem would either go or come back depending on version (6.5.3 & 6.5.4 had trouble, all others ok, regardless of firmware number).
Nuhi As far as i know the only way to change the firmware is to change the slimserver version. The way I do it is to is to stop slimserver (check in task manager). The nremove from the contro panel. Next instal the version of slimserver you want whether it is older or newer. Then when you go back to your TP it should say a firmware update is required and asks you to hold down the brightness button. After that it reboots itself and you should have the relevant firmware installed. Note that when I went from 6.5.4 (FW31) to 7.01 (FW31) it did not ask for a firmware update. -- MikeFish ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MikeFish's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12860 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37722 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
