Sean This was Meridian's response: The 557 amplifiers are protecting themselves, which is normal and the most possible cause is DC on the output of the transporter when switched on, which then settles down to acceptable levels ( otherwise 557s would go to shutdown when re-powered). It could also be the signal lines floating especially if driving units balanced.
Make any sense to you? Is there any chance of DC showing while rebooting?
