Clive, I am looking for the best set up for my ATC SCM 100 active so your posts have been v interesting. I'll probably use Transporter->10dB attenuator->ATCs (I can get 10dB off the shelf) Have already had an unfortunate experience with Transporter feeding full, unattenuated putput into ATCs. The unit was returned as volume control didn't work. I'mm praying that the overload protection in the ATCs has worked! Have yet to buy a replacement Transporter, but will do so now I understand the attenuation issues. The alternative to the minimalist approach is egd's system with the ATC SCA2 preamp. This would allow me to use vinyl , but is it going to add or detract from the overall quality? -- iwalker ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iwalker's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13004 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33868 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
