I'm buying a used pair. I'll power them with the recommended ATI AT6012 amplifier, partly because it's safer (there's an increased risk of damaging open baffle speakers if you overdrive them because of the lack of an air cushion), and partly because I may at some point extend to a 5.1 system, and that's a 12 channel amp.
