I absolutely agree with you there, many people have existing home networks, and thus the resource is available for use for the SB3/ Transporters, and others of their ilk.
Please don't misunderstand me, the whole reason I am interested in this topic is that I believe that hard drive based music may be the way to achieve excellent audiophile sound from digital music. But this thread started as a dig at Paul Messenger, and I am trying to put forward the point of view that as a topic, network based music delivery is not an easy thing to deal with in hifi magazines. On the other hand the one box solution is a much easier proposition to review and to present to those readers who are not so well up on computing. OK, because I am the former publisher of hifi+ I have, perhaps, a different viewpoint on the ins and outs of reviewing and magazine content. -- bigfool1956 David Ayers Music is what counts, hifi just helps us enjoy it more ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bigfool1956's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13782 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39438 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
