Reason for targeting that region is because, unlike most of other places I have visited or in which I have lived, majority of N.A. homes use forced hot air for heating, and that dries the air so much, that some Asian piano makers have discovered that they have to treat their wood differently for this market (not for sound but for durability) BTW, I appologize to the OP for swaying the thread a bit.
