In my experience, that relationship can buy you far more than you will ever save buying from the cheapest source. My last purchase was just over a year ago and it wasn't a big spend in audio terms - £1000 for an integrated amp and speakers. My dealer let me take three amps and (eventually) four pairs of speakers to audition at home over several weekends. When I decided on what I wanted, he threw in decent (not cheap) speaker cables and interconnects and when the amp failed (twice), on both occasions he lent me a replacement whilst mine was returned to the manufacturer. Both times, the dealer successfully pressed for the amp being replaced with a brand new model (even managing to get me a change of colour as my black Transporter had arrived in the interim). That's what I call service. -- Fifer ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fifer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=639 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40141
