I would stick with the SB3, as posted by others it has many technical
advantages.  To find out how many SB3 devices your network can handle
over wifi there is a network test plugin.  Just crank the two up until
you start seeing it drop from 100% to 90% or so.  I've been able to
test my 11g network up to 15000-20000kbps.  That's more than enough for
a dozen SB3s connected to a single server.

If you're running the slimserver on wireless, that's the first thing
you will need to change to add more squeezeboxes.
