I have a very serious stereo, I've paid tens of thousands of dollars to make sure it delivers every possible bit of quality. Disks are very cheap, 500 GB costs under $300. I have zero interest in reducing file size by 30% and then lose any quality. YMMV, etc. but most folks don't care about MP3 quality. If you accept the known loss of quality, then you may chose otherwise. Its just not worth it to me. And I do not agree with your "zero quality reduction" argument. The facts don't back that up. I'll agree that you can't tell the difference, or that its not important to you.
