The SB3 has been said to equal most CD players under $1000, and the Transporter is equal in quality to just about any CD player you can buy if you believe Sean. (the designer, CEO) Of course opinions are a dime a dozen, and will vary wildly. Personally, I would go with a Transporter for these reasons: * Simplicity, one device does it all. * Multi-screen, looks great! * Front panel controls, useful for some If the Transporter seems too expensive, you could just get a SB3 and no DAC (it's damn nice on it's own) and spend the rest on new music!
