I have both my SB3 and Denon 2800mkII running through a Bel Canto DAC2. Current interconnect setup is AQ Ruby from Denon to DAC2 and WW Supernova toslink from the SB3 and the DAC2. I've tried it the other way around (original setup) and results were the same. When comparing cd on the Denon vs. the ALC imported file on the SB3, the Denon has a more satifying image and tonality than the SB3. The system from the DAC2 out is to a Paracas Sierra Pre-amp and 2 modded Hafler220's running mono to Vandersteen 2C's.
Question is... is there a better file format for sound quality? Also, is there an advantage going cat5 vs. wireless? Any input would be enjoyed.
