Keep in mind that a direct comparison of a balanced vs unbalanced connection is difficult. A true balanced connection will be louder than an unbalanced one which complicates matching gain in the comparison. It is difficult for a home user to precisely match volume levels when switching back and forth. That will generally give the balanced (louder) connection a psychological advantage.
My comment would be to use a balanced connection if available, but as Sean suggested, I would not base a decision of which amp to buy on just the presence or lack of balanced inputs. Pick the amp that sounds best with your speakers and then use whichever connection is present. -- mlsstl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mlsstl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9598 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42042 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
