My wishlist is based on evolving the Transporter into a "digital two-channel pre-amp." Right now I use it to convert and switch PCM audio from my cable box and two game consoles. Of course I also listen to music through it... Sadly, the Transporter is not quite there as a digital pre-amp. Here's what it needs:
* One-button source switching on the front panel and remote (right now source switching is not reliable and requires frequent restarts) * User-configurable attenuation on XLR outs (as mentioned) * High-quality analog volume control (let's face it, it's a pain in the ass to limit yourself to the top part of the digital volume range before you lose resolution) * Small color screen for album art! * Removal of rack handles I will DEFINITELY buy this product...
