Hi, If you're up for a bit of DIY, maybe consider some transmission lines from IPL Acoustics? I have the S5TL Golds which are the largest ones. When I bought the kit it was around £800 for all the drivers, crossover components and the wood, pre-cut and vaneered. They do cheaper kits and also driver/crossover/plans only for people with woodworking skills who can build the cabs themselves. These speakers deliver the most effortless bass and midrange of any I've heard and they're a flat easy load with high sensitivity. (I use valve amps)
If you google IPL Acoustics you'll find their website. I made mine about 5 years ago and I've been very happy with them.
