Unless they're testing a conventional S/PDIF DAC, then yes the results
are complete nonsense. The j-test has a _very_ limited scope. Its
purpose is ONLY to capture data-correlated jitter introduced by an
S/PDIF receiver circuit, and even for that there are far better tools
available today - admittedly, for a price. J-test can be done with just
a sound card, but it is a very roundabout way of detecting jitter.
