To give more background info - my setup is the same as wshields. I have a Transporter slaved to an EMM Labs DCC2SE. I'm running Squeezecenter 7.1 with fw40. Another thing I noticed is the crackling disappears if I turn off displays completely on the Transporter. This is only if I have Squeezecenter convert flac to wav. The crackling is still there if native flac support is enabled. Could this be related to CPU usage on the Transporter?
