Connecting directly to an amp is an extremely bad idea. Some people like
the idea of having "less stuff in the signal path", but this thinking is
completely wrong when it comes to matching signal levels. Besides the
obvious safety reasons, you need analog attenuation to maintain a good
signal to noise ratio. Fixed in-line attenuators (just a pair of
resistors) are a good solution, or you can use Transporter's internal
jumpers (which do the same thing).
